I scored 55/60(more than 90%) in Programming and 1608.23/1800(around 90%) as the NQT score but failed to clear the interview. Here is my analysis of why I failed.

It was a great experience and those who gave , know that it wasn't like any other test where you could move from one question to another. It was pretty tough. On the basis of my performance, I was selected for the TCS digital interview, but it didn't go as planned due to the following two reasons:-

1. The first and the most important reason was poor internet connection. I was in Kendriya Vihar, Sector 82, Noida(this isn't my primary address but I was out of station due to some medical emergencies) and this is worth mentioning here that neither Jio nor Airtel gives even a 10mbps constant speed in that particular area. The interviewers were very friendly but their voices started breaking too much as soon as my turn arrived because all three interviewers had their video and mic on and I was also bound to keep my mic and web camera on. My internet connectivity just failed to process this. Besides, when I was asked to code and as soon as I shared my screen the call just got disconnected and this really might have posed a very bad image of mine on the interviewers. We reconnected but then even on requesting too much I wasn't asked any further questions on my technical abilities.

2. The second thing was the waiting time. My slot was from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and I was in a queue. In the case of the Accenture interview, we had a number that showed how many people are there in the queue before us but this wasn't the case with TCS digital interview. I skipped my lunch in the excitement of giving the interview. The Digital profile was really like a dream come true thing at that time and I just skipped a meal for that which I realized was not a good decision while I was waiting in the queue. This led to further complications because I was interviewed around 5:30 PM. Still, I feel immense pleasure in sharing the scorecard because the overall experience taught so many things.

Key takeaways:-

• Always keep a check of your internet connectivity and kindly ensure a speed of at least 30mbps. This is solely the responsibility of the interview attendee to take care of because there are lots and lots of other talented students who might even have better internet connectivity.

No matter how tasty the food is made, it is worth making only if it gets eaten up.

So even if we have a lot of technical abilities, good communication skills, etc. all of it goes to waste if we aren't able to show it to the interviewer on time.
